New construction of the Lahn long-distance cycle route in the section between Laurenberg and Geilnau

The district administration is planning to close the gap in the Lahn long-distance cycle path between the local communities of Laurenburg and Geilnau as an independent cycle path along the Lahn over a total length of approx. 7.8 km and with a width of 3.00 m.
Two structures for cyclists and pedestrians to cross the Lahn were built along the cycle path. The structures were built identically in aluminium with a span of 49 m each and two foreshore bridges with a length of 15 m each. The special feature of the planning measure was the extremely cramped conditions in the Lahn valley, so that the structures had to be transported and assembled via pontoons.

2 cycle and pedestrian bridges: Aluminium construction span 49 m each
2 foreshore bridges: 15 m length each
Cycle path: 7.8 km length, 3.00 m width
